Spreading Knowledge that Counts
For a good life with the right perspective
The Noah Foundation is a private, independent Foundation seated in Potsdam, Germany. We support constructive journalism as well as selected projects and organizations with innovative approaches to the solution of social challenges.
Since 2008, the Noah Foundation has committed itself to sustainable solutions for social challenges worldwide. Since 2015, the Noah Foundation also supports constructive journalism, becoming one of the first foundations to do so.
Our vision is a world, in which all humans are provided with the necessary resources and knowledge, as well as equipped with the needed networks to master upcoming challenges together and to live a good, confident life.
In most media outlets prevails the reporting of news with a negative message. Success stories and reports on solutions are rare. However, studies show, that this imbalance leads to a biased perception of reality and decreases people’s hope and confidence to shape the future in a positive way.
The Noah Foundation therefore awards fellowships to journalists who highlight new ideas and solutions to social challenges, and inform about the potential for the development of society and the environment. In this way, we contribute to a more balanced world view among readers and increase their knowledge and capabilities to participate in the solutions to our social challenges.
As a nonprofit foundation, the Noah Foundation depends upon sponsors. You can support us with both small and large donations, for example via our profile at Betterplace:
